Heat Pump Technologies, 2-3 April 2025: more culture and training for the relaunch of heat pumps
Two months before the heat pump event, we take stock with some of the trade associations that support the first international exhibition & conference in the sector, which will be staged on 2-3 April 2025 at Allianz MiCo Milano
Milan, 6 February 2025 - Heat Pump Technologies (HPT) will be the first international exhibition & conference organized in Italy (2-3 April 2025, Allianz MiCo Milano) dedicated to heat pumps and related technologies.
HPT2025 is a new exhibition format that combines technological excellence and high content value. The agenda includes two "Main Conferences": one with a national vision of the heat pump market, in which the results of the exclusive study commissioned by the Energy&Strategy Group of the Politecnico di Milano, coordinated by Professor Vittorio Chiesa will be presented, which will explore the state of the art of heat pumps in Italy and provide forecasts for the next 3-5 years; the other Main Conference will be curated by EHPA - European Heat Pump Association and will offer a European overview, with a focus on the industrial sector and policies to accelerate the electricity transition.
Everything is designed to outline the market trajectories, provide strategic support and create concrete value for the supply chain operators.
As stated by Massimiliano Pierini, RX Italy Managing Director, organizer of the two days conference, "Heat Pump Technologies was born to respond to a clear need: to create a space for meeting and comparison for the entire heat pump supply chain, a technology destined to play a crucial role in the decarbonization process. We wanted to design a new format focused on technological excellence and culture, scientific dissemination and strategic development of a market that, although undergoing a phase of slowdown, has tremendous potential to be unlocked through training and awareness."
The cultural and informative approach of the event has convinced from the beginning the main associations, which have given their support to the event and will contribute with training sessions organised by AiCARR, Angaisa, Assistal, Assoclima, Assogriforisti, Assotermica, Associazione Tecnici del Freddo, AVR, Anima, CNA, CNCC (National Council of Shopping Centres), Eurovent, Fire - Italian Federation for the Rational Use of Energy, Green Building Council Italy and KNX National Italia. The agenda will also include a programme of workshops organised by the exhibiting companies.
The topics covered will range from Italian and European regulations, to in-depth studies on policies related to F-gases and best practices for an effective management of installations. The different types of installation will be analysed in detail, offering practical and technical ideas to optimize the integration of heat pumps and hybrid appliances in both residential and industrial contexts.
Here are the testimonies of some of the associations that will animate the agenda of the two days in Milan.
Maurizio Lo Re, Angaisa President
"As an association we believe it is a priority to adopt a "multi-technological" approach that enhances the most efficient solutions and products, those really able to promote the achievement of the objectives set by the PNIEC and the "Green Houses" Directive: in this context, the first edition of HPT will allow us to better understand the potential for the spread and use of heat pumps and the fundamental role they will play in future energy efficiency scenarios in Italy."
Fabrizio Capaccioli, President of the Green Building Council Italy
"The heat pump is the most efficient technological solution to date for the production of decarbonized thermal energy for buildings. The recent research carried out by the Green Building Council Italy, in collaboration with Eumetra, has highlighted how this technology is still little known to most citizens. Technological development must therefore be accompanied by communication and consumer awareness."
Diego Prati, National Manager CNA Installation Plants
"Technologies such as heat pumps represent the future of energy transition and require up-to-date technical expertise to ensure efficient, compliant installations. Events such as Heat Pump Technologies provide a unique opportunity to explore technological innovations, share experiences and create professional networks. Investing in training means strengthening the competitiveness of companies, improving customer service and promoting sustainable solutions for the future."
Fabio Brondolin, Assofrigoristi Vice-President
"All the protagonists of the supply chain must cooperate and all their representatives are obliged to do likewise, because, as never before, the outcome is generated by the maximum earthing of the value in every stage of the product life, from the design to the usage. A supply chain that functions as a transmission belt for value among associations and companies, professionals and technicians, is the condition for the heat pump to be appreciated and adopted with satisfaction by the end user."
The long-term objective of HPT2025
HPT aims to become a reference point for the entire heat pump industry, creating a space for constructive discussion between companies, institutions and associations. RX Italy is committed in creating an environment where differences in vision can be transformed into opportunities for cooperation.
"The energy transition - explains Massimiliano Pierini - requires an integrated approach, in which energy upgrading, buildings efficiency and advanced technologies such as heat pumps, home automation systems, smart solutions and digital infrastructures work together to form a sustainable, interconnected system.
HPT 2025 aims to foster this synergy by connecting the different actors and stimulating dialogue between those who develop, install, use and regulate these technologies. Looking to the future we believe that more streamlined and focused events is the winning direction. Companies appreciate our lean and targeted formula. We are confident that HPT 2025 will provide a strategic platform to accelerate the energy transition, bringing tangible benefits to all stakeholders involved."
The event is open to all actors of the energy transition: large installation and distribution companies, designers, energy managers, general contractors, architectural firms and the real estate world.
